Cybersecurity

If your data gets encrypted, you restore from the backup. Without paying.

Practical security for businesses with no IT department: we control who gets onto the network, connect sites and home workers by VPN, audit what you have and keep backups an attacker cannot delete.

Network access control

Separating what shouldn't be visible (cameras, guests, POS terminals, offices) and giving each person access only to what's theirs. A well-configured firewall prevents most problems.

  • Perimeter firewall with documented rules
  • VLAN segmentation: offices, guest Wi-Fi, cameras, POS terminals
  • Per-user access with two-factor authentication where needed
  • Dual internet uplinks so security never leaves you without a connection

VPNs between sites, building sites and home workers

WireGuard and IPsec tunnels so the building site, the warehouse and the person working from home are inside the company network as if they were in the office.

  • Branch offices and building sites connected to head office
  • Secure home working without exposing services to the internet
  • User management and immediate removal of leavers
  • Tunnel monitoring from our NOC

Audit and anti-ransomware backups

We start by finding out what's there: network inventory, review of switches, servers and access, and a report with prioritised action points. And we protect what matters with immutable remote backups.

  • Security audit with a clear report and action plan
  • Immutable remote backup (S3) with versioning
  • Regular restore tests: a backup that hasn't been tested isn't a backup
  • In line with ISO 27001 and GDPR

Frequently asked questions

What is an immutable backup?

A backup that, for the period set, nobody can modify or delete, not even with the administrator's credentials. If ransomware encrypts your servers, you restore from there without paying a ransom.

Where do I start if I've never done anything?

With the audit: within a few days you know what you have, what is exposed and what needs fixing first. Then it's implemented in order of risk.

Do you work with my current IT person?

Yes. We often take care of the network and backups while the company's IT person carries on with the workstations.

Will this help me with ISO 27001 or a public sector contract?

Immutable backups, segmentation and access logging are standard requirements in those processes; we hand over the documentation for everything implemented.
